1221 Wheels operates its own production facility in City of Industry, California, where every X-Series wheel is pressed under a 10,000-ton closed-die forge and validated through finite element analysis before a single production unit ships. The brand's 20|EX fastener system — twenty titanium-alloy bolts per wheel, 41% lighter than steel equivalents — was engineered in-house and is exclusive to the X-Series line. There is no licensing arrangement, no outsourced tooling, and no replica variant: the press tolerances, heat treatment schedule, and surface finishing protocols are the same for every 0110 AP3X that leaves the factory.

The AP3X Design

The 0110 AP3X occupies the AP3X tier of the X-Series — the three-piece configuration that unlocks the deepest concave range in the 1221 lineup. The ten-spoke face is forged as a standalone component, separate from both the outer rim and inner barrel, so each element can be machined to a different dimension without altering the others. That separation is what makes a 70 mm concave depth possible on the same face geometry that ships as a shallow-offset track build: the visual language of the wheel stays constant while the mechanical specification adapts to the car. The 20|EX hardware installs twenty titanium-finish fasteners flush below the spoke surface, concealing all assembly points behind a machined center cap — the front profile reads as a monoblock while the three-piece construction does its structural work underneath.
