3D Design builds wheels and performance components exclusively in Japan, where the production process is tuned to the tolerances that BMW's M and luxury platforms demand. The T521 is a 2-piece construction: a precision-forged aluminium disc paired with a flow-formed rim barrel. That combination is deliberate — the forged disc carries the structural load and visual character, while the flow-formed rim brings barrel weight down below what a fully forged multi-piece construction would require at the same diameter. Every T521 leaves Japan to 3D Design's own specification, with custom offsets available in 1 mm increments across the full range.

Three finish directions — Brushed Black, Brushed Clear, and Brushed Black with Clear Rim — define the T521's character: brushed surfaces that catch light without gloss, anodised treatments that hold up to wheel arch conditions, and diamond-cut elements that add depth to the face from a distance. The multi-spoke geometry is composed to complement the body mass of the 7 and 8 Series without shrinking visually behind their large arches. Step rim geometry on the 22" variants extends inner clearance for the brake stacks that come standard on X5 M and X6 M platforms.
