517 CRBN

The HRE 517 CRBN is a two-piece forged wheel from the Vintage CRBN® Series, combining a CRBN® carbon fiber barrel with a classically-styled forged aluminum center. Inspired by HRE's iconic Vintage collection, the 517 CRBN carries the brand's heritage design language into a new era of carbon fiber materials technology.

CRBN® is HRE's in-house carbon fiber barrel platform, built on more than 40 years of wheel manufacturing expertise. Each CRBN® barrel is produced via precision closed-mold Vacuum-Assisted Resin-Transfer Molding (VARTM), a technique that guarantees consistent resin infusion, exceptional impact resistance, and a high-quality surface finish throughout every barrel produced.

The 517 CRBN features a modular two-piece structure in which the CRBN® carbon fiber barrel is secured to a 6061-T6 forged aluminum center using aerospace-grade titanium fasteners. This separation of barrel and center supports a wide range of fitment configurations and center finish options across different vehicle platforms.

The barrel of the 517 CRBN employs a toughened-resin system for structural resilience and weight efficiency. HRE engineers eliminated the carbon seam from both the visible lip and the inner barrel areas, presenting a seamless uninterrupted carbon fiber surface that complements the clean heritage lines of the Vintage center design.

Each 517 CRBN includes embedded RFID technology for product traceability and aftersales service. The wheel is validated to a minimum 750 kg load rating and supports Center Lock configurations. HRE provides a 3-Year Limited Structural Warranty and a 1-Year Finish Warranty with every CRBN® wheel, reflecting the quality standard built into each unit.

The 517 CRBN barrel is available with either a Frozen (satin) or Gloss clear coat. The Frozen finish gives the carbon fiber a refined low-sheen appearance, while the Gloss option reveals the full depth and pattern of the woven barrel. The forged aluminum center can be specified in any finish from HRE's comprehensive custom finish menu.

Available in 20 to 23 inch diameters and 9 to 12.5 inch widths, the HRE 517 CRBN covers the fitment requirements of grand tourers, sports coupes, and high-performance SUVs across the current market segment.
