The Offset That Makes the Wheel
A forged wheel can be specified perfectly and still sit wrong on the car - because offset is not a number, it is a relationship. The VPS-317 is designed around that relationship: its spoke face is resolved to work with the fender line of the platform it is built for, not to sit inside it or push past it.
The Precision Series as a Build Process
The VPS-317 sits within the Precision Series - a platform Vossen has been refining for years rather than revising. Every set is forged from 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum at Vossen's own facility in Miami and hand-finished to order. Width, diameter, offset, bolt pattern, and finish are all set for the individual vehicle. Vossen does not license this geometry to third parties or produce it under a private label.
How the VPS-317 Is Made
VPS-317 uses a forged monoblock build. The forging is engineered with extra material on the face so that concave depth can be resolved for the specific vehicle rather than fixed by the casting. The integrated monoblock construction means the front profile is resolved so that nothing is visible except the forged surface - no fasteners, no hardware, no break between the face and the lip. Unnecessary mass is removed from the inboard side of the face, invisible from the front.
