501 CRBN

The HRE 501 CRBN is a two-piece forged wheel from the Vintage CRBN® Series, uniting HRE's iconic five-spoke Vintage center design with a CRBN® carbon fiber barrel for a combination of timeless style and cutting-edge materials engineering.

The CRBN® barrel of the 501 CRBN is produced in HRE's San Diego facility using a closed-mold VARTM process in which the dry carbon preform is oriented to maximize hoop and torsional stiffness across the full barrel circumference. The infused toughened-resin system locks fiber orientation during cure, delivering a barrel with precise dimensional stability and predictable load response under sustained lateral and braking forces — characteristics matched to the five-spoke center's structural signature.

The five-spoke forged 6061-T6 aluminum center of the 501 CRBN is machined to minimize spoke cross-section without sacrificing lateral stiffness — a balance refined through HRE's finite-element design process. Titanium fasteners secure the center to the CRBN® barrel at the bolt circle, each torqued to a load that prevents micro-movement at the barrel interface under cornering forces. The platform accommodates a diverse range of offset and center bore combinations, making the 501 CRBN adaptable across exotic sports cars, supercars, and luxury grand tourers.

The five-spoke center creates natural shadow zones along the inner barrel face — an area that receives particular attention during 501 CRBN production. HRE's proprietary layup process eliminates the carbon seam from both the outer lip and these inner regions, ensuring a continuous uninterrupted carbon fiber surface regardless of viewing angle. The result is a seamless visual transition between the Vintage center's clean geometric spoke lines and the carbon barrel's woven surface texture.

Each 501 CRBN includes an embedded RFID chip for lifecycle traceability and aftersales service support. The wheel is validated to a minimum 750 kg load rating and is available in Center Lock applications. A 3-Year Limited Structural Warranty and 1-Year Finish Warranty provide long-term confidence in every set.

Barrel finish options for the 501 CRBN are Frozen (satin) clear coat and Gloss clear coat. The Frozen delivers a subdued matte expression of the carbon weave, while the Gloss finish reveals the barrel's full reflective depth. The forged aluminum center is available in any finish from HRE's custom finish portfolio.

The HRE 501 CRBN is offered in diameters from 20 to 23 inches and widths from 9 to 12.5 inches, covering the fitment spectrum from compact sports cars to full-size luxury vehicles and supercars.
