ADV.1 ADV005F M.V2: Manufacturing and Construction Basis

Each ADV005F M.V2 is produced at ADV.1's Carson, California facility from 6061 T6 forged aluminum billet. The center disc is machined from a single forged blank and mated to a separately produced outer step-lip barrel secured with aircraft-specification fasteners, a two-component architecture that allows the barrel to be rebuilt to a new diameter or width specification if the vehicle configuration changes after initial delivery.

The ADV005F M.V2 Advanced Series is defined by five spokes with substantially greater chord width at each arm's midpoint relative to the window aperture between arms. This proportion inversion - more face than gap - produces a visual surface associated with factory motorsport wheels and flagship OEM fitments on large-displacement touring cars. The spoke section carries material at the outer face to a depth that provides meaningful resistance to lateral bending, a property relevant on high-mass vehicles with significant unsprung weight at each corner.

The window openings flanking each wide spoke are shaped through CAD surfacing to produce a smooth boundary radius from spoke edge to outer barrel wall. This radius accomplishes two objectives: it eliminates the stress concentration that a sharp re-entrant corner would create at the pocket entrance, and it generates the shadow depth that defines the wheel's visual dimension when lit at oblique angles. The pocket floor is machined flat, creating a defined ledge behind each spoke that contributes to the layered appearance at straight-on viewing angles.

At the outer step-lip junction, each spoke foot broadens to match the barrel shoulder width. This foot flare increases the bonding area between center and outer components at the diameter where the maximum bending moment from cornering loads acts, reducing deflection at the rim seat under combined lateral and vertical loading. The step-lip barrel depth is independently calibrated per order to achieve the specified concave dish without altering the center disc geometry or spoke proportions.

Finish treatment on the ADV005F M.V2 benefits directly from the wide spoke surface area. Brushed finishes develop longer, more consistent grain lines on wider faces. Polished surfaces deliver a larger reflective area per arm, producing a brighter visual return at shallow viewing angles. Matte and semi-gloss applications carry more evenly across the face because the larger surface is less susceptible to pooling or edge shadowing during application.
