BBS CH-R-II is a flow-formed two-piece wheel. The separation of the centre from the rim base is not only a styling decision - it is a structural one. A two-piece construction allows the centre section to be optimised independently of the barrel, permitting more aggressive concavity depths without the weight penalty that a monoblock equivalent would carry. It also means the rim protector, bolts, and visible styling components can be exchanged or upgraded after purchase, a flexibility a monoblock cannot offer.

Flow-Forming the Barrel, Casting the Centre

BBS manufactures the CH-R-II using the same counter-pressure casting process applied across its flow-formed range, followed by barrel flow-forming that compacts the aluminium grain and increases strength without adding mass. The two-piece assembly is secured at the junction, and the visible join between centre and rim base is integrated into the design as a horizontal accent. The Unlimited programme uses this modularity to allow buyers to specify wheel colour, centre cap design, rim protector finish, bolt finish, and valve cap style independently.

BBS CH-R-II Design

The CH-R-II's multi-split-spoke face reads differently at different viewing distances. Close up, the spoke geometry shows its motorsport-derived shaping. From a distance, the wheel reads as broad and planted - appropriate for large-platform vehicles where a compact spoke design would look undersized. Three concavity levels and three diameter options address different aesthetic preferences and vehicle proportions. Available in Satin Platinum, Satin Black, Satin Bronze, and Unlimited 1-5.
