The C109 face is hot-forged and CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminium at HRE's California plant. The outer barrel, machined separately under the FMR-X programme, is joined to the face at a single bolt ring using stainless fasteners. The C109 (2-Piece) addresses the segment where visible structural transparency and unsprung mass reduction are prioritised over spoke density. Every example is built to the submitted dimensional specification; no standard-width stock is held.

The C109 spoke arrangement maximises the ratio of open area to spoke cross-section within the Series C1 range, providing visual depth behind the wheel face and emphasising the brake components mounted at the hub.
