The Lip Design That Carries a Legacy

Some wheels are designed around their spokes. The HFX-1 was designed around its lip. Vossen took the lip concept it developed for the LC2 and LC3 forged series - wheels that have become references for luxury SUVs - and combined it with the weight-saving spoke engineering from the HF-5 and HF6-4 Hybrid Flow-Formed models. The result is a wheel that pays tribute to the LC3-01 while being engineered for a wider range of trucks and SUVs.

Where Flow-Forming Meets Lip Engineering

Vossen Wheels manufactures the HFX-1 entirely in-house, using a process that begins with a low-pressure casting and finishes with flow-forming of the rim. During flow-forming, hydraulic rollers stretch and compress the barrel under heat, improving the aluminium's grain structure and producing a barrel that is stronger and lighter than a conventional cast design. The HFX-1 sits within Vossen's Hybrid Flow-Formed range, a line that bridges the gap between the brand's forged customisation process and cast affordability. Vossen develops this geometry in-house, and no third party has access to the tooling.

The robotic custom HF programme allows for personalised fitments and bolt patterns specific to any 5-lug, 6-lug, or 8-lug vehicle, and the wheel is available in diameters from 20 to 24 inches.
