Where Flow-Forming Meets Truck Engineering

Vossen Wheels manufactures the HFX-5 using a process that begins with a low-pressure casting and finishes with flow-forming of the rim. During flow-forming, hydraulic rollers stretch the barrel under heat and pressure, improving the aluminium's grain structure and producing a wheel that is stronger and lighter than a conventional cast design. The HFX-5 sits within Vossen's Hybrid Flow-Formed 6-Lug range, a line built specifically for the truck and SUV market. Vossen develops this geometry in-house, and no third party has access to the tooling.

The HFX-5 Design

The HFX-5's defining feature is its dedicated 6-lug truck and SUV fitment engineering - a design that includes a signature floating centre cap assembly and CNC-machined back-pad lightening pockets. The wheel is available in diameters from 17 to 24 inches, with widths from 8.5 to 12 inches, and it supports Deep and Super Deep concave profiles. It is a design that suits vehicles where the wheel is expected to perform under load without looking out of place - a Lexus GX 550, a Toyota Land Cruiser, or a Ford Expedition.
